Special Olympics GB National Games 2013
- 6 month to go review.
- Transport and logistics planning and management.
- Event Control Room Management during the event.
Supporting Special Olympics GB with the country’s largest multi-sports event for athletes with intellectual disabilities in 2013. 2000 athletes with intellectual disabilities of all ages and abilities took part in 12 sports across 3 days of competition in Bath and Bristol.
Rebecca and Clare provided a much needed strategic planning review which helped to refocus priority actions and also highlight any areas of concern including an updated Venue Operations Plan Template, Project Plan and Recommendations of next steps. The advice and support provided enabled us to really focus on the key priorities and get everyone back on track!
The second phase of the work we engaged ARC to do was to lead the Logistics and Transport Operations for the Games liaising with the local authority and logistics sponsors for the Games, DHL. Both the logistics and transport operations for the Games ran smoothly at all times and I have no doubt that this was due to the professional and high standard of support received from ARC.
I have no hesitation to recommend ARC and we will certainly use their services again in the future.
